Cyrus Whittaker is a multi-jurisdictional trial attorney licensed in California, Nevada, and Texas. Raised in a difficult and challenging environment, Mr. Whittaker overcame early adversity by a strong work ethic, relentless determination, and unyielding grit, ultimately earning a mathematics degree from the University of Washington, and a Juris Doctor from the UCLA School of Law. He leverages this raw intensity and drive into each case he takes on, allowing him to aggressively litigate cases for maximum financial compensation whether through settlement or trial. He leaves no stone unturned, no evidence unleveraged, and no information unfound in his relentless pursuit of justice for his clients.

Before establishing his firm, Mr. Whittaker honed his courtroom craft at premier defense firms (Selman Breitman LLP and Bremer Whyte Brown & O'Meara LLP) and also served as a criminal prosecutor under a fellowship through UCLA School of Law, with the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office. There, he completed the prestigious Academy of Justice trial-training program and successfully tried numerous high-stakes jury cases through verdict. This deep experience on both sides of the aisle—prosecution, defense, and plaintiff—equips him with rare tactical insights to anticipate and dismantle adversarial defense strategies at every phase of litigation. Recognized for his expertise, Mr. Whittaker is frequently retained by outside law firms to serve as lead trial counsel and Of Counsel on high-exposure, litigation-heavy matters that require an aggressive, relentless approach. 

 

Mr. Whittaker has tried more than twenty-five jury trials to verdict across civil and criminal courts. He also volunteered his time as an adjunct law professor at the People's College of Law, where he co-taught Federal Civil Procedure in 2021-2022.

Prior to entering the legal profession, Mr. Whittaker spent over a decade as a private instructor, teaching advanced mathematics through college-level calculus and preparing candidates for advanced standardized examinations including the LSAT, GMAT, SAT, ACT, and GRE. Many of his former students have themselves become professionals and attorneys. This analytical background allows him to distill complex financial exposure metrics into clear, persuasive, and unassailable arguments before judges and juries.
